Today, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, received the newly appointed Minister of Economic Development and Trade, as well as the heads of diplomatic missions of the Republic of Tajikistan in several foreign countries. This was reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan.
By decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Zavkzoda Zavki has been dismissed from his post as Minister of Economic Development and Trade, and Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon, who has experience and sufficient qualifications in government agencies, has been appointed Minister of Economic Development and Trade.
Furthermore, by decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United States of America, the French Republic, the Austrian Republic, and the Italian Republic have been appointed, as well as, with the consent of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Consuls General of the country in several regions and cities of the Russian Federation. All appointed personnel have experience, are qualified, and meet modern requirements.
During the meeting, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, gave the new head of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade specific instructions. These instructions concern improving economic analysis, identifying new paths for development and progress, accelerating digitalization, and effectively leveraging the potential of artificial intelligence.
Personnel appointed to senior positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were instructed to prioritize the interests of the state and the people and to ensure the protection of human and civil rights and freedoms abroad. These instructions also concerned the development of multilateral relations with these countries, including attracting foreign investment and developing economic, socio-cultural, and humanitarian ties.
The appointments are intended to strengthen the activities of Tajikistan's government bodies, ensure the country's effective representation on the international stage, and facilitate the implementation of national priorities in the economy, foreign policy, and diplomacy.
