In the Sughd region, active measures are continuing to ensure the efficient use of existing production capacities, the construction of new enterprises, and the increase in industrial production.
Sughd Region Governor Rajab Akhmadzoda inspected the operations of several industrial enterprises in the city of Khujand. During the visit, it was noted that the enterprises' efficient operation contributes to the creation of new jobs, growth in domestic production, and strengthening the region's export potential, according to the Sughd Region Administration press service.
Sitorai Toj LLC has established production of special workwear, which is exported abroad. Over 1,000 employees have already been provided with jobs and competitive wages, and in honor of the country's 35th anniversary of independence, an additional 500 new jobs are planned. In 2024, the company produced goods worth over 10 million somoni and plans to increase production this year.
Lider LLC produces denim clothing under the Jadid brand, made from 99% cotton, to international standards. The company employs 80 women and girls using modern machines.
The head of the region emphasized the importance of constructing such sewing workshops and instructed officials to pay special attention to developing production and expanding exports of domestic products.
During a visit to a shoe factory in Khujand, which had previously enjoyed great popularity, Rajab Akhmadzoda instructed the owners and management to take measures to restore and resume operations.
Rakhimov LLC, a manufacturer of sportswear, including kimonos, also demonstrated strong performance. The company produces up to 200,000 pieces of natural cotton clothing annually, primarily for export.
Firuz LLC produces a variety of sportswear; in 2024, it manufactured over 30,000 units, exporting them to Russia, Poland, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
Thanks to the continued support of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, industrial production in the Sughd region is increasing annually. The region's leadership places particular emphasis on the complete processing of raw materials, particularly cotton, and supports entrepreneurial initiatives.
The development of the industrial sector, the efficient use of capacity, and the implementation of new projects contribute to strengthening the region's economic potential and improving the population's standard of living.
