In his congratulatory message, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon congratulated Tajik police officers and personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Internal Troops on Police Day, wishing them good luck and success in their lives and careers. The head of state noted that employees of the internal affairs agencies and the personnel of the Internal Troops, "over many difficult and vulnerable years in the modern history of the Tajik people, together with other law enforcement agencies and security forces of the country, have made a historic contribution to the restoration of constitutional authority, ensuring stability and peace, maintaining public order, and combating crime."
"Dear employees of the internal affairs agencies and servicemen of the Internal Troops!" the President addressed them. "I sincerely congratulate you all, as well as the veterans of the internal affairs agencies who have made a valuable contribution to building a democratic and law-abiding society in Tajikistan, on your professional holiday—Police Day."
The message emphasizes that the police's professional holiday is celebrated at a time when the country, as a sovereign state and a full member of the global community, has been steadily advancing toward progress, development, creativity, and improvement for over three decades. From the very beginning of independence to the present, Tajikistan's internal affairs agencies have proudly fulfilled an important and complex mission: protecting the property, rights, and interests of the population, protecting the peace and tranquility of society, and combating crime.
The President noted with satisfaction that, throughout many difficult and vulnerable years of the Tajik people's recent history, law enforcement officers and Internal Troops, along with other law enforcement agencies and security forces, made a historic contribution to restoring constitutional authority, ensuring stability and peace, maintaining public order, and combating crime. Police officers, particularly in the early years of independence, conscientiously fulfilled their duties despite severe socioeconomic challenges and a lack of material and technical resources.
The message draws attention to modern threats: "Recently, the world's population has been greatly concerned about the dangerous and tragic manifestations of terrorism and extremism, religious radicalism, drug trafficking, cybercrime, and other cross-border organized crime." In these circumstances, the head of state emphasizes, law enforcement officers, including those in the internal affairs agencies, should not forget about political vigilance; they must be prepared to fulfill their official duties and professional mission, namely, to protect the peace and stability of society and the state, the rule of law, and law and order.
President Rahmon also notes the need to improve the quality of personnel training: "To ensure the effective operation of government bodies, it is necessary to pay special attention to the quality of personnel training, their proper selection and placement, improving their professional level, mastering technology and technology, and learning foreign languages, including Russian and English."
The message outlines state support measures: "The State and Government of Tajikistan are paying special attention to strengthening the material and technical base of the internal affairs agencies and the Internal Troops, training highly qualified personnel, recruiting specialists who meet modern requirements, and improving the living conditions and service conditions of personnel."
The President recalled that peace and tranquility in the country were won through the dedication, fortitude, and determination of thousands of people dedicated to the cause of independence and freedom, and emphasized that ensuring peace, stability, and a peaceful life for the population depends on a high sense of personal responsibility, professional abilities, and skills of every employee of the internal affairs agencies and servicemen of the Internal Troops.

Emomali Rahmon expressed confidence that police officers will continue to remain true to their oath and fulfill their official duties and sacred mission with selflessness and pride. In closing, the President once again sincerely congratulated all Tajik police officers and the personnel of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on Police Day, wishing them good luck and success in their lives and work.
