On November 4, in Doha, Qatar, on the sidelines of the UN Conference on Social Development, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, the press service of the President of Tajikistan reported .
During the meeting, issues related to the further development of friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries were discussed. The parties expressed satisfaction with the regularity of high-level and summit meetings and their results, emphasizing that this reflects the comprehensive cooperation and strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
In order to strengthen and expand mutually beneficial cooperation, it was deemed necessary to establish a Strategic Dialogue Council, as well as to intensify the activities of other bilateral instruments of interaction.
The existence of significant opportunities and resources for improving trade, economic, and investment cooperation was noted, and the parties emphasized that the relevant agencies of both countries should fully utilize the existing potential.
Furthermore, further strengthening of interparliamentary cooperation, including the activities of parliamentary friendship groups, was deemed useful, which will allow for expanded interaction at the legislative level and facilitate the implementation of joint projects.
