The Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan reported three tragic incidents involving civilian deaths on November 2 in different regions of the country – Dushanbe, Sughd Region, and the Rudaki District.
According to the agency, at 4:05 PM, the duty station of the ShVKD-1 in the Firdavsi district received a report of the discovery of a man's body in a well located near building No. 26 on Firdavsi Street in the capital. A rescue team from the Dushanbe Department of the Emergency Situations Committee was dispatched to the scene.
After the body was recovered, it was determined that the deceased was a 49-year-old resident of the Mir Sayyid Alii Hamadoni district in the Khatlon region. The circumstances of his death are being investigated, and the body has been handed over to law enforcement agencies for a forensic examination.
In the second incident, according to the Sughd Region Emergency Situations Department, at 5:40 PM, a 17-year-old resident of the village of Veshap in the Shamtuch rural community of the Ayni district jumped from a bridge over the Zarafshon River for unknown reasons and drowned. The search for his body is ongoing.
Additionally, at 12:45 PM on November 2, the body of a 29-year-old resident of the village of Madad-1, Chorgulteppa rural community, was found in the Kuktosh-1 canal in the Rudaki district. He showed signs of violent death. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of his death.
The Emergency Situations Committee noted that all three incidents are under the control of the relevant authorities, and an investigation into the causes and circumstances of the incidents is underway.
