On October 27, 2025, a working meeting between representatives of relevant Tajik agencies and an Italian delegation led by Italy's Special Coordinator for Central Asia, Federico Faila, and representatives from the Universities of Venice and Bologna took place in Dushanbe. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the continuation of the dialogue in the C5+Italy format and reviewed the Action Plan for 2026–2027. Particular attention was paid to developing networks for the exchange of ideas and experiences between the countries of Central Asia and Italy in key economic sectors, cooperation on combating the effects of climate change, and strengthening cooperation between universities and research centers in the region.
The parties emphasized the importance of further expanding bilateral and regional cooperation, as well as the exchange of knowledge and innovation in science and education.
