Cotton growers in Abdurakhman Jami district of Khatlon region have fully met their cotton harvest plan for the current season, harvesting 16,600 tons of "white gold," according to the press service of the Khatlon region governor.
Today, as part of a working visit, regional chairman Davlatali Said visited the Abdurakhman Jami district, participated in a ceremony to recognize farms and presented them with commemorative gifts. During a meeting with farmers and jamoat chairmen, Davlatali Said noted the successful fulfillment of the production plan and congratulated industry workers and all cotton growers in the district on this significant achievement.
The cotton harvest plan for 19 cities and districts in Khatlon Region this year is 254,300 tons. As of October 20, 228,157.3 tons have been collected, meeting 90% of the annual plan. Among these districts, 10 cities and districts—Levakant, Bokhtar, Dusti, Yovon, Dangara, Vakhsh, Khuroson, Jaykhun, Jaloliddini Balkhi, and Abdurrahman Jami—have fully met their cotton harvest plan.
The districts' achievements demonstrate the high level of organization and effective work of Khatlon region's farmers during the current season.
