An extraordinary scientific seminar on "Efficiency Management and Optimal Control of Photovoltaic Energy Resource Systems in Alpine Climates" was held at the Research Institute of the Tajik National University. The seminar focused on scientific cooperation between Tajikistan and the People's Republic of China.
The event was attended by the head of the scientific project of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Academician Mamadsho Ilolov , the scientific director of the School of Automation and Telecommunications of Chongqing University Dr. Shen Xiang , as well as professors of the same university Penghua Li and Hou Jie .
Speaking at the seminar, Mamadsho Ilolov emphasized that such initiatives open up new opportunities for Tajik scientists.
"Scientific partnerships with leading Chinese universities not only promote the development of renewable energy research but also enhance the international prestige of Tajik science," the academic noted.
Professor Penghua Li presented a report outlining six areas of the joint Tajik-Chinese project. The main research objective is to develop an adaptive system for forecasting and managing photovoltaic energy in Tajikistan's mountainous environment, integrate operational data with thermoelectrochemical mechanisms, and improve the efficiency of energy storage systems.
According to the professor, developing photovoltaic energy storage technologies is a strategic direction for China in achieving its "dual carbon balance" goals. He emphasized that cooperation with Tajikistan, which has high solar potential, contributes to strengthening sustainable energy partnerships and promoting a green economy.
According to workshop participants, the research group has already developed a system for collecting data on photovoltaic battery performance indicators and registered over 20 patents. The results of their joint research have been published in leading international scientific journals at the SCI Q1 level, including IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification (TTE) and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (TII) .
Following the seminar, the parties expressed their willingness to continue joint research, expand academic exchanges, and strengthen cooperation between scientific institutes of the two countries.
It was noted that the development of scientific and technical cooperation in the field of renewable energy is important for the implementation of the National Energy Development Strategy of Tajikistan , and also contributes to strengthening the country's scientific potential in the international arena.
