Cotton growers in the Khuroson district of Khatlon Region have fully fulfilled their cotton harvest plan for the current year. This was announced during a working visit by Khatlon Region Governor Davlatali Said, who visited the cotton processing plant of the Zarrin Valley Agricultural Union LLC and attended a farmer recognition ceremony.
According to the regional administration's press service, 7,013 tons of cotton have been harvested in the Khuroson district to date, which corresponds to 100 percent fulfillment of the annual plan.
During a meeting with farmers and jamoat chairmen, the regional chairman noted with satisfaction the fulfillment of the planned cotton production target, congratulated all participants on this significant achievement, and expressed gratitude for their work and dedication.
Davlatali Said also thanked industry specialists, farmers, agronomists, irrigation system workers, machine operators, and skilled harvesters who contributed to the sowing, growing, harvesting, and stacking of this year's crop.
This year's cotton harvest plan in 19 cotton-growing towns and districts of Khatlon Region is 254,300 tons. To date, 217,209.2 tons have been harvested, representing 85% of the annual plan. Seven towns and districts have fully met their harvest plan: Levakant, Bokhtar, Dustu, Yovon, Dangara, Vakhsh, and Khuroson.
