President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon participated in and addressed the International Investment Forum "Dushanbe Invest 2025," which was held at the Kokhi Vahdat State Complex in Dushanbe. The event brought together representatives of government, business, and international organizations, as well as investors from dozens of countries.
Head of State Emomali Rahmon welcomed the forum participants, expressing gratitude for their interest in Tajikistan's investment potential. The President noted that the forum's key goals are to showcase the country's broad investment opportunities, strengthen international economic cooperation, introduce new technologies and ideas, and demonstrate the government's commitment to continuing economic reforms aimed at creating favorable conditions for sustainable development and long-term partnerships.
Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the current forum is dedicated to "green" investments that ensure sustainable economic development, taking into account the principles of social justice and the rational use of natural resources. "That is why the forum is being held under the motto 'Green Investments: Today's Opportunities for a Sustainable Future,'" the President stated.
According to the head of state, the forum creates a solid foundation for developing practical solutions, strengthening mutual trust, and unlocking the region's investment potential based on principles of sustainability, partnership, and mutual benefit.
The President noted that Tajikistan's strategic location in the center of Eurasia allows the country to act as a link between regions and continents, opening new transport, energy, and logistics corridors, thereby facilitating the unification of markets and peoples.
The head of state emphasized that modern Tajikistan is a country with a rapidly developing economy, actively promoting international cooperation and creating a favorable investment climate. In recent years, the country has implemented large-scale reforms aimed at strengthening macroeconomic stability, developing the private sector, supporting entrepreneurship, digitalization, and innovation.
Emomali Rahmon noted Tajikistan's competitive advantages: significant hydropower potential, rich reserves of metals and other natural resources, and a high level of human capital.
The forum paid special attention to the development of the green economy . The President emphasized the importance of adopting the Green Economy Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan until 2037 , which will serve as the foundation for attracting investment in environmentally friendly technologies, renewable energy, and sustainable production.
Given the country's energy potential, promising renewable energy projects were offered to interested investors, including the production of modern technologies, batteries, and green energy equipment. The head of state expressed gratitude to companies already involved in similar projects in Tajikistan.
In his speech, Emomali Rahmon presented forum participants with broad investment opportunities in various sectors—light and food industries, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, construction materials production, agro-industrial complex, and tourism.
The President emphasized that the Government of Tajikistan is taking consistent measures to create a favorable business climate. "Today, we provide investors with over 240 guarantees and incentives, over 110 of which are tax and customs-related," the head of state noted.
He also stated that Tajikistan's five free economic zones create favorable conditions for trade, industrial production, and the implementation of investment projects.
"Our strategic goal is to transform Tajikistan into a reliable partner for long-term investment, which will contribute to strengthening sustainable development and expanding international economic cooperation," Emomali Rahmon emphasized.
Speaking on the day the country celebrated Entrepreneurs' Day , the President of Tajikistan congratulated representatives of the business community on their professional holiday, wishing them health, success, and new achievements in their work for the benefit of the country.
In conclusion, the Leader of the Nation expressed confidence that the Dushanbe Invest 2025 forum will serve as a starting point for new mutually beneficial initiatives, strengthen partnerships, and deliver tangible results for the peoples of all participating countries.
