In Dushanbe, as part of Commonwealth of Independent States events, Chairman of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mayor of Dushanbe, Rustam Emomali, held a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Marat Khusnullin.
During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of multifaceted relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation. The focus was on economic cooperation, the implementation of joint infrastructure and investment projects, and the development of humanitarian and cultural ties.
Rustam Emomali and Marat Khusnullin exchanged views on expanding bilateral cooperation in the energy, transport, and social sectors, and discussed opportunities for attracting investment for the implementation of major regional projects aimed at the sustainable development of cities and regions of Tajikistan.
The parties noted the importance of intensifying cooperation at the interregional level, emphasizing the role of cities and regions in strengthening economic and cultural ties between countries.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue constructive dialogue and joint work on implementing projects that contribute to the deepening of the strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Russia.
