On the evening of October 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in the Republic of Tajikistan for a state visit, the Russian leader's press service reported.
On October 9, a formal welcoming ceremony for the Russian President took place in the square in front of the Palace of the Nation in Dushanbe. The square was decorated in accordance with all protocol standards in honor of the high-ranking guest's visit, creating a festive and solemn atmosphere.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon warmly and sincerely welcomed the President of the Russian Federation and invited him to the podium of honor.
The ceremony included a report from the Commander of the Honor Guard, the performance of the national anthems of Russia and Tajikistan, the heads of state passing in front of the Honor Guard, the President of Russia expressing respect for the State Flag of Tajikistan, and an introduction to the official delegations of both countries.
The event concluded with a ceremonial march by the Honor Guard units before the heads of state, underscoring the high status of the visit and the friendly nature of bilateral relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation.
The Russian leader's state visit to Dushanbe is part of the strengthening of the strategic partnership and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, including political, economic, cultural, and military-technical interaction.
