Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Dushanbe on an official visit at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
At Dushanbe International Airport, the Russian leader was personally greeted by Tajik President Emomali Rahmon. The two leaders exchanged warm greetings and held a brief conversation in a friendly atmosphere. To mark Vladimir Putin's arrival, the Tajik capital was decorated with national flags and floral arrangements, lending a festive air to the ceremony.
During his visit, Vladimir Putin will take part in the Central Asia–Russia summit and the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) , which will take place in Dushanbe on October 9–10.
In addition to participating in multilateral events, Vladimir Putin is scheduled to hold talks with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon . The parties will discuss key areas of Tajik-Russian cooperation, including the development of trade, economic, and investment ties, as well as collaboration in security, energy, education, and culture.
Following the talks, it is expected that a number of documents will be signed aimed at further strengthening the strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Russia, as well as expanding cooperation within the CIS and the Central Asia-Russia format.
