The State Ensemble "Falak" from Tajikistan participated in the international Asian festival "Unity through Culture," which took place in Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea. This was reported by NIAT "Khovar," citing the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Korea.
The festival brought together artistic groups from Central Asian countries, providing participants with a platform to showcase national cultural traditions and strengthen friendship between the region's countries and South Korea.
The Falak ensemble showcased Tajikistan's rich musical heritage, performing heartfelt songs and captivating melodies that were highly praised by the Korean audience. Spectators praised the emotional depth of the performance, the artistry, and the uniqueness of the Tajik musical tradition.
As a reminder, "Falak" is a traditional Tajik national art form that expresses the feelings, thoughts, and spiritual values of the people. The ensemble's music plays a vital role in the development of Tajikistan's national culture and is an integral part of the country's cultural heritage.
In December 2021, the musical art of "Falak" was officially inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity at the 16th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in Paris. This recognition underscored the international significance and uniqueness of the Tajik musical tradition.
The Unity through Culture festival has become an important platform for the exchange of cultural values, strengthening intercultural dialogue, and promoting national traditions among an international audience.
