Industrial production from January to August 2025 amounted to 368.4 million somoni , exceeding the same period last year. This growth is due to both increased output by existing enterprises and an expanded product range.
The Sughd Free Economic Zone, created to stimulate investment and industrial development in the region, has attracted the attention of domestic and foreign investors in recent years. Enterprises in the light and food industries, construction materials, energy, and processing industries operate here.
According to the zone's administration, cooperation with foreign companies facilitates the introduction of modern technologies and the creation of new jobs, which has a positive impact on the region's socioeconomic development.
