At the XXXX meeting of the CIS Council for Cultural Cooperation, held in Dushanbe, Kamoliddin Saifiddinzoda, Director of the S. Aini Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, presented a number of initiatives aimed at expanding cultural and educational cooperation between the Commonwealth states. This was reported by the theater's press service.
Saifiddinzoda proposed creating a project that would significantly strengthen the human resources in the academic arts sector in Tajikistan and the CIS countries. Among the alternative ideas, one was the creation of a new structural unit within the Council for Cultural Cooperation, which would ensure broader coverage of cultural projects across all CIS countries.
The theater director emphasized the prospect of holding a joint gathering of CIS opera and ballet theater directors in Dushanbe in 2026. He stated that such a meeting would allow him to discuss pressing issues, find solutions, and strengthen cultural ties.
Kamoliddin Saifiddinzoda's initiatives received a positive response from his foreign colleagues.
As a reminder, the Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Sadriddin Aini is the founding organization of the Council for Cultural Cooperation of the CIS member states, as well as the initiator and main structure of the Coordinating Council of Opera and Ballet Theatres of the Commonwealth States.
