The Tajikistan national futsal team will play its final Group C match of the 2026 Asian Cup qualifying tournament in Dushanbe today. The Tajik team will face four-time Asian Cup champions Japan, according to the Tajikistan Football Federation.
The match will take place at the Multifunctional Sports Complex – the Tennis and Water Sports Palace. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 PM local time.
At the start of the qualifying round, the Tajik team confidently won two matches: a 10-2 victory over Macau and a 7-1 victory over Cambodia. These results allowed Tajikistan to take the lead in its group and maintain a strong chance of advancing to the finals.
The Japanese national team is considered one of the strongest futsal teams in Asia. They have won four continental championship titles, and the upcoming match will be a key test for the Tajikistan team, which has shown significant progress in recent years.
