In the Kulyab group of districts of the Khatlon region, in the Sughd region, in the districts of republican subordination and the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, an increase in air pollution is expected on September 23 due to a dust storm coming from the south and southwest.
According to meteorologists, a dust storm can significantly reduce visibility and degrade air quality, posing a health risk. Therefore, citizens are advised to limit their time outdoors during the day, especially near major highways and in areas with light winds.
Furthermore, meteorological services advise refraining from fieldwork and other work that could negatively impact health, and, if possible, using personal protective equipment, including masks and goggles. Particular attention should be paid to people with chronic respiratory diseases, children, and the elderly.
Local authorities urge residents to closely monitor weather information and follow safety recommendations.
