On September 20–21, 2025, an exhibition and sale of agricultural, industrial products, and folk crafts from Tajikistan's Khatlon region was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the regional administration's press service reported .
During the event, Khatlon farmers presented approximately 950 tons of produce, including fresh and dried fruits, vegetables, watermelons, melons, various grape varieties, honey, and preserves. National dishes and handicrafts were also on display, and a cultural program was held for city guests and residents.
The exhibition became an important platform for strengthening economic and trade ties, attracting investment, and finding partners for joint projects. During the event, Khatlon Region Governor Davlatali Said met with Almaty Mayor Marat Sultongaziyev to discuss the creation of joint ventures and expanding cooperation in trade, education, healthcare, and tourism.
In addition, exhibition participants learned about the operations of Fruit Art, a company that uses German fruit processing technology and operates modern storage facilities with a capacity of 15,000 tons. The company employs 420 people, and its production capacity makes it one of the largest fruit producers in the refrigerated logistics industry in the world.
Earlier, in August 2025, Astana also hosted an exhibition of Tajik products, featuring more than 1,000 tons of products from farmers and artisans in the Sughd region.
