Tajikistan has been ranked among the top ten safest countries in the world, taking second place in a ranking compiled by the American public opinion polling organization Gallup. The data is contained in the annual Global Safety Report – 2025 .
According to a study conducted in 142 countries, 95% of Tajik citizens said they felt safe walking at night. Singapore topped the list with 98%. Rounding out the top ten were China (94%), Oman (94%), Saudi Arabia (93%), Kuwait (91%), Norway (91%), Bahrain (90%), and the United Arab Emirates (90%).
It is noted that in recent years, Tajikistan has repeatedly ranked among the world's security leaders. Experts believe this result confirms the effectiveness of government policies in ensuring stability, public order, and protecting citizens' rights.
According to observers, a stable social atmosphere, safety in cities and villages, and traditional Tajik hospitality are considered significant values by the international community. Tajikistan's position among countries recognized as leaders in public security enhances the country's positive image internationally.
