The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Special Coordination Meeting on the Improvement of Eastern Region Air Transport (RDGE-SCM/2025) was held for the first time in the capital of Tajikistan. This was reported by the press service of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic.
Representatives from 23 countries, as well as leading aviation industry experts, participated in the meeting. The event was organized by the State Unitary Enterprise "Tajikairnavigation."
Nazarzoda Khabibullo, Director of the Civil Aviation Agency, noted that Tajikistan's active participation in ICAO activities is an important strategic step that will contribute to the further development of national aviation, improved flight safety, and the efficiency of international air travel.
"Thanks to the support of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the Government of the Republic, the Civil Aviation Agency is taking consistent steps to develop national aviation and integrate it into the international aviation community," Nazarzoda emphasized.
During the meeting, issues of expanding the geography of flights, reducing travel times, reducing operating costs, and ensuring safe and predictable air travel were discussed.
According to agency representatives, hosting such an international event strengthens Tajikistan's position in the global aviation arena and facilitates the country's integration into global aviation processes.
