The Khatlon International Development and Innovation Center opened in Bokhtar, marking the 34th anniversary of Tajikistan's independence. The press service of the Khatlon Region Governor reported this.
According to the agency, the center was built in a modern format within the framework of the Years of Digital Economy and Innovation Development (2025–2030) announced in the country, as well as in the context of Tajikistan's historic resolution on artificial intelligence adopted at the UN General Assembly.
The center's service facilities are equipped with modern equipment from leading global companies. The goal is to develop a platform for collaboration between the government, the private sector, science, technology, and society. The center is intended to become a space for the economic, social, and cultural development of the region, promoting innovation and the use of artificial intelligence technologies, thereby transforming Khatlon into a strategic center of excellence for the country.
The center consists of two main halls—"Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (AI)" and "Agriculture and Export." They feature thematic sections: "AI in Practice," "Khatlon Innovations," "AI and Agriculture," and "AI and Training," as well as exhibits dedicated to the region's products, sales markets, agricultural innovations, photo zones, and the "Khatlon Dastarkhan" exhibition.
