The Commander of the National Guard of the Republic of Tajikistan, Colonel General of the Guard Bobojon Jamolzoda, reported to the President of the country, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan, General of the Army Emomali Rahmon, on the readiness of the personnel of the Dushanbe military garrison to conduct the military parade.
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, addressed the personnel with greetings and congratulated them on the historic holiday – the 30th anniversary of the founding of the National Guard of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Before the start of the military parade, the head of state delivered a speech in which he expressed his views on protecting the achievements of the independent state and maintaining the peaceful and calm atmosphere of this blessed country.
Emomali Rahmon warmly congratulated the esteemed people of Tajikistan, the Guard personnel, other military structures, law enforcement officers, and the officers and soldiers participating in the military parade on the 34th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence and the 30th anniversary of the founding of the National Guard of the Republic of Tajikistan.
It was noted that the National Guard is a special agency with modern potential and high combat readiness, and plays an important role in shaping the country's defense system.
Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon recalled the history of the creation of this modern military agency and emphasized that the National Guard was created to protect the independence, freedom, and territorial integrity of the state, participate in the protection of vital state facilities, ensure public order, and fulfill other tasks assigned by the country's leadership.
It was noted that the National Guard, like other military structures and law enforcement agencies of independent Tajikistan, was created during an exceptionally difficult and vulnerable period for the country on the basis of a special forces brigade.
President Emomali Rahmon spoke about the role and contribution of this agency and noted that, from the very first days of its creation, the personnel of this military unit, along with other military structures and law enforcement agencies of the country, have undergone a very difficult and arduous, yet honorable, path, honorably preserving the proud name of guardsman thanks to courage, valor, and dedicated service to the state, the Motherland, and the people of Tajikistan.
"The National Guard, established by us as a symbol of the new national statehood, taking into account the historical traditions of the Tajik people, has evolved into a powerful special-purpose military structure, which, in turn, is one of the most important factors in protecting the country's independence and freedom, territorial integrity, as well as the security of the state and society," the head of state noted.
The head of state recalled that during the most difficult and fateful years of our nation's life, Guard service members, shoulder to shoulder with other military structures and law enforcement agencies, made a significant contribution to restoring constitutional order, combating terrorism and extremism, and ensuring peace, stability, and a peaceful life for the people of Tajikistan.
The President emphasized that Guard service members, and all members of the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies in general, must possess profound knowledge and high levels of training, strict military discipline, a high level of professionalism, bravery and courage, vigilance and prudence, and be models of loyalty and patriotism.
In the context of the extremely complex and vulnerable modern world, it was deemed necessary to further strengthen and intensify the activities of the command staff and headquarters of the country's military structures, as well as the interaction of all units of the Armed Forces, in order to counter the aforementioned threats and challenges.
The National Guard's leadership was tasked with ensuring strict and mandatory compliance with the law, strengthening political and educational work, as well as raising the level of professionalism, skill, and abilities of military personnel, and the proper selection and placement of personnel.
Following a speech by the President of the country, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, a military parade of servicemen was held in honor of the 30th anniversary of the formation of the National Guard of the Republic of Tajikistan.
More than 5,000 members of the Armed Forces, security forces, law enforcement personnel, women and girls of the National Army, and defenders of law and order took part in the military parade in honor of this important historical date.
The National Guard of the Republic of Tajikistan is one of the units of the Armed Forces of the country, is subordinate to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and is considered the reserve force of the head of state.
It should be noted that this authoritative military formation was created in January 1995 on the basis of one of the rapid response brigades called the Presidential Guard.
From the very first day, the Guard's personnel demonstrated fortitude and determination in the performance of their duties. At crucial moments for the nation, they defeated illegal armed gangs on the battlefield and earned the trust of the head of state and the people of Tajikistan.
Along with the personnel, a large number of armored vehicles and various types of combat and service equipment were stationed on the parade ground.
The flights of combat aircraft over the event site, the skillful performance of various actions by the pilot and the roar of the aircraft engine in the sky added additional splendor to the military parade.
