Direct flights between Xi'an and Dushanbe will begin operating on September 16, 2025. This was announced by the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Flights will be operated twice weekly by Chinese airline Zhejiang Loong Airlines . According to the ministry, the launch of these flights will create new opportunities for developing bilateral cooperation, expanding tourism ties, and facilitating travel for citizens of Tajikistan and China.
Previously, regular direct flights were launched on the Beijing-Dushanbe-Beijing and Kashgar-Khujand-Kashgar routes.
The Civil Aviation Agency noted that the expansion of flight geography was made possible by the ongoing support of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, and the implementation of the Open Skies policy, approved by a government decree.
