During a meeting with the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Plant team and the city of Rogun, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon instructed them to ensure accelerated construction and high-quality work at the site.
"It is important to expedite the dam's construction at a high level and in accordance with international standards and to commission the hydroelectric power station's next capacity within the established timeframe," the head of state emphasized.
It is noted that construction work on the Rogun HPP is divided into separate sections, the implementation of which is closely interrelated. Any delay in one section could lead to delays in other areas. The President ordered increased coordination between departments and strict monitoring of the construction schedule.
The Rogun Hydroelectric Power Plant is a key element of Tajikistan's energy infrastructure, capable of significantly increasing electricity generation and strengthening the country's energy security.
