The Director of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khabibullo Nazarzoda, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Tajikistan, Guo Zhijun. This was reported by the Civil Aviation Agency.
During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in civil aviation. Specifically, they discussed opening direct flights between Dushanbe and Xi'an and Dushanbe and Guangzhou, as well as improving existing routes between Dushanbe and Urumqi and Dushanbe and Beijing.
Particular attention was paid to the need to expand the exchange of experience between aviation specialists of the two countries and to organize advanced training courses in the field of flight safety and aviation security.
"Holding such meetings and increasing the number of routes with foreign airlines plays an important role in implementing the Open Skies policy," the agency emphasized.
As a reminder, at the initiative of the Civil Aviation Agency and with the support of the government, the "Open Skies" regime has been in effect at all international airports in Tajikistan since June 12, 2025. This policy is aimed at developing air transport, simplifying air travel, and expanding opportunities for citizens and foreign partners.
