A delegation from the Saudi Arabian Red Crescent Society visited the Republic of Tajikistan from August 9 to 15, 2025, and conducted the "Ambassador of Life" First Aid Trainer Program for 26 staff members of the Tajikistan Red Crescent Society. The five-day training took place at the Hilton Hotel in the country's capital. This marks the first time the program has been conducted outside of Saudi Arabia, and Tajikistan is the first country to implement this training project.
The goal of the program is to train qualified first aid trainers and teach participants the skills to provide timely assistance to victims and patients before the arrival of ambulances and specialized medical personnel.
During the training, participants learned methods for managing life-threatening emergencies and how to organize effective assistance at the scene. The program includes training for both male and female trainers, who will be able to conduct training at their training sites and disseminate this knowledge to other specialists and volunteers.
The project is being implemented as part of a joint initiative of the Saudi Arabian Red Crescent Society and the International Islamic Red Crescent Committee, and in accordance with the Jeddah Declaration on Humanitarian Action, adopted at the Fifth Consultative Meeting of Islamic countries – members of the International Committee of the Red Crescent, National Red Crescent and Red Cross Societies of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, which was held from 22 to 25 July 2023 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The main objective of the project is to develop the human capacity of Red Crescent organizations in key areas of humanitarian work, drawing on the extensive experience of the Saudi Arabian Red Crescent in cooperation with the International Islamic Red Crescent Committee.
