On August 12, a meeting was held between Bahriddin Sirojiddinzoda, Director of the Export Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Alexander Rybas, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tajikistan. During the meeting, the current status and prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the export sector were discussed, according to the Export Agency.
The creation of a joint export and logistics center in the Khatlon region was also discussed. It was proposed to engage interested Russian companies and banks in the construction and commissioning of this center. The Russian Trade Representative expressed his willingness to assist in finding funding for this initiative.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Tajikistan has extensive potential for exporting early and seasonal agricultural products, as well as industrial goods, and is interested in cooperating with major Russian trading centers.
