A memorandum was signed between the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Tajikistan and the United Kingdom's Central Asian Counter-Terrorism Network. This was reported by NIAT Khovar, citing the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The document was signed during a meeting between the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khabibullo Vohidzoda, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Tajikistan, Catherine Smithson, which took place on August 12 in Dushanbe.

The meeting discussed issues related to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the fight against transnational crime, international terrorism, religious and political extremism, and other manifestations of organized transnational crime that pose a serious threat to national security and sustainable development in the region.
The signing of a Memorandum between the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Central Asian Counter-Terrorism Network of the United Kingdom will create a basis for mutual cooperation in the fight against transnational crime, international terrorism, religious and political extremism and other forms of organised transnational crime.
