Dushanbe has seen improvements in social infrastructure, transportation, the digital economy, and trade. This was announced by city government officials at a press conference dedicated to the first six months of 2025.
From January to June, the capital transported 9.3 million tons of freight, a 7.3% increase compared to the same period last year. Road transport accounted for 8.5 million tons (92%) of the freight volume. Passenger traffic in the capital reached 218 million people, an increase of 7%.
As part of the city's sustainable transportation development program, 60 new electric buses have been purchased. Additionally, over 11,000 electric vehicles have been imported to Dushanbe, with 400 charging stations installed.
To accelerate digital transformation, the "Digital Dushanbe" system was implemented in 121 city departments, covering 1,071 workstations and automating key city administration processes.
