Bilateral counter-terrorism exercises involving special forces units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, dubbed "Friendship 2025," were held at the Fakhrabad training ground of the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan, located in the Khatlon garrison. Nearly 100 military personnel participated, as reported by NIAT Khovar, citing the Press and Information Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The exercises involved special forces, airborne assault, and ground units, which demonstrated how to use modern weapons, ammunition, and other military equipment in the fight against terrorism.

With the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the assistance of the Ministry of Defense, favorable conditions have been created at the Fakhrabad training ground of the Armed Forces' mobile forces for conducting any regional and international military exercises at a high level.
The Druzhba-2025 joint exercises provided a platform for expanding the field training of special forces units during operations in mountainous terrain and at infrastructure facilities, strengthening the physical endurance, psychological, and moral resilience of personnel, and facilitating coordination and exchange of experience between the special forces of Tajikistan and Pakistan.
During the summary of the exercises, it was noted that strengthening friendly ties between countries, jointly combating terrorism and extremism, and ensuring peace and stability in all countries of the world occupy a strong place in the foreign policy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
In the current climate, where the threats of international terrorism and extremism, drug trafficking, and other negative social phenomena are increasing, holding the joint anti-terrorism exercises "Friendship 2025" between friendly and fraternal states was deemed important and timely.
Following the final stage of the large-scale military maneuvers, a number of active participants in the joint training were awarded medals, certificates of honor, and various commemorative gifts.
