Since 2012, approximately 347,000 tons of asphalt have been used in the repair and reconstruction of the Dushanbe-Chanak highway, according to the press center of the Tajikistan branch of IRS (Innovative Road Solutions Ltd).
According to the company, 2,000 tons of asphalt were used for these purposes in 2012, 51,500 tons in 2017, and 55,300 tons in 2021. In 2024, the figure was 18,400 tons.
IRS noted that the development of road infrastructure is accompanied by an upgrade of the equipment fleet. Thus, 15 units of specialized equipment were purchased in 2022, four in 2023, and 13 in 2024.
Over the 16 years of the road's operation, 134 facilities have been built and commissioned, including bases, warehouses, production facilities, laboratories, and avalanche protection structures.
