On August 5, in Turkmenistan, on the sidelines of the UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which is taking place at the Avaza National Tourist Zone in Turkmenbashi, a meeting was held between the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, Azim Ibrohim, and the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Turkey, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, the press service of the Tajik ministry reported.
The meeting discussed the current state of cooperation between the two countries and prospects for developing joint activities in the field of transport and logistics.
It was noted that international transportation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Turkey is carried out on the basis of a bilateral agreement on international road transport. In 2025 alone, the two countries exchanged permits for the transportation of 3,250 units of cargo.
At the same time, the parties discussed increasing the number of P-3 permits from/to third countries and introducing visa exemptions for Tajik carriers.
During the meeting, issues of using and expanding the China-Tajikistan-Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Turkey-Europe international transport corridor were discussed, as well as the signing of an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on international transportation of mixed cargo.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of creativity, friendship and mutual understanding.
