A meeting of representatives of anti-corruption agencies of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan took place in Dushanbe, during which the parties confirmed their commitment to jointly combating corruption and economic crimes. This was reported by the press center of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The negotiations took place on July 30 with the participation of the leadership of the Tajik Agency and a delegation from the Anti-Corruption Agency and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was organized as part of the implementation of the provisions of the Cooperation Agreement for 2025–2026 and the Memorandum of Cooperation for 2024–2025 signed between the two agencies.
The parties emphasized that the high level of strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan creates favorable conditions for expanding cooperation in various areas, including the joint fight against corruption. Particular attention was paid to issues of combating transnational corruption and economic crimes, exchanging experience and improving coordination mechanisms.
As part of the visit of the Uzbek delegation, a two-day training seminar is planned to be held at the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of Tajikistan. During the event, representatives of Uzbekistan will become familiar with the key areas of Tajikistan's anti-corruption policy, the results achieved, and effective practices for identifying and preventing corruption offenses.
Both sides expressed interest in continuing constructive dialogue and jointly implementing anti-corruption initiatives, which, in their opinion, will help strengthen the rule of law, transparency and public trust in government institutions.
