The Chinese and US trade and economic teams had an in-depth, frank and constructive exchange of views on important issues of mutual interest, China's representative in international trade talks and Vice Minister of Commerce Li Chenggang said in Stockholm on Tuesday.
Li Chenggang made the statement during a briefing for journalists following a new round of China-US trade and economic talks held in the Swedish capital.
According to him, both sides will continue to promote the extension of the pause in the 24 percent mirror tariffs of the American side and the countermeasures of the Chinese side.
As Li Chenggang pointed out, the two sides took into full consideration the importance of maintaining stable and healthy economic ties between China and the US, and held a sincere exchange of views on key mutual concerns in the economic and trade fields.
According to the Chinese representative, over the past day and a half, the parties assessed the progress of the implementation of the agreements following the trade talks in Geneva and London and fully approved the progress achieved.
The trade and economic teams of the two countries will maintain close communication and promptly exchange views on trade and economic issues, continuing to promote the stable and healthy development of China-US trade and economic relations, Li Chenggang added.
