The share of teachers with academic degrees and titles at Bokhtar State University named after Nosir Khusrav is 36.3 percent. This was announced by the university's rector Mahmadali Kurbonzoda during a press conference on the results of the first half of 2025.
According to the university management, there are currently 621 teachers working at the university, of which 21 are doctors of science and professors, 205 are candidates of science and associate professors, and 395 are senior teachers and assistants.
The university is actively developing as both an educational and a research center. It has a lyceum, a Research Institute of Natural and Technical Sciences, a Center for the Study of the Mavlono Heritage, a professional training center, and three specialized centers for the study of foreign languages – English, Russian, and Korean.
Bokhtar State University includes 14 faculties and 45 departments. As of July 2025, 15,281 students are studying at the university. Of these, 6,748 are studying full-time, 8,534 are studying part-time, and 190 are in the master's program. A significant portion of the students are girls – 7,059 people (46.2%).
According to the published rating of the State Agency for Control in Education under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Bokhtar State University again entered the top ten professional higher education institutions in the country in 2025.
The University continues to implement innovative educational programs, develop scientific research and expand international cooperation, strengthening its position as one of the leading universities in the southern region of the republic.
