In the first half of 2025, the total income of Tajikistan's telecommunications structures reached 2.4 billion somoni, which is 14.2% more than in the same period last year. This was reported by the head of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Isfandiyor Sadullo at a press conference dedicated to the results of the department's activities.
As the head of the Communications Service noted, there are currently 93 business entities operating in the country that have licenses in the field of telecommunications. Of these, 90 are legal entities and 3 are individual entrepreneurs. In total, they have received 237 licenses for various types of communication services.
According to Isfandiyor Sadullo, the increase in industry revenues is associated with improved quality of services, as well as the introduction of measures to rationally regulate prices for communications and the Internet.
"Today, the average cost of the Internet at a speed of 1 Mbit/s is 17.63 somoni, which is significantly lower compared to previous years. In addition, the average cost of a 1 GB mobile Internet package has been reduced to 2.5 somoni or 25 US cents," he noted.
The Communications Service continues to work to further improve the country's digital infrastructure, expand network coverage and increase the availability of communications services for the population, including in remote areas of the republic.
