Work on updating the National Anthem continues in Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced a competition to write a new musical version of the anthem. This was reported by the Kazinform agency.
As reported by the department, at the fourth meeting of the interdepartmental commission, the five best were selected from 132 proposed texts received between June 16 and July 17. At the next stage, composers, musicians and performers can present their musical interpretations corresponding to one of the selected texts.
The deadline for submitting music proposals is September 8, 2025. All materials must be sent to the following address: Bishkek, Pushkin Street, Building 8 — to the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy.
— Based on the results of the selection, three best versions of the text and music will be determined, which will be submitted for consideration to the parliament of Kyrgyzstan — the Zhogorku Kenesh, — the official statement from the ministry says.
According to the organizers, the competition is aimed at creating a highly artistic work that would fully reflect the historical heritage, cultural values and spirit of national unity of the people of Kyrgyzstan.
The new anthem is expected to symbolize the state's modern identity and become a unifying element for all citizens of the country.
