From September 3, 2025, Flydubai will operate flights on the Dubai-Dushanbe-Dubai route daily, that is, seven times a week. This was reported by NIAT Khovar with reference to the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of Tajikistan.
The increase in flight frequency is aimed at simplifying travel for citizens of Tajikistan and other countries, as well as developing tourism in the country. Currently, Flydubai, the officially appointed carrier on this route, operates three flights a week. The agency instructed the airline to ensure affordable ticket prices.
The Civil Aviation Agency of Tajikistan, following the instructions of President Emomali Rahmon, is working to expand the geography of flights of domestic and foreign airlines. At a press conference of the Civil Aviation Agency on July 24, measures to regulate prices for air tickets were discussed, aimed at reducing costs and improving the quality of service.
Tajikistan is strengthening cooperation with UAE airlines. Recently, a meeting was held in Dushanbe between the head of the Agency, Habibullo Nazarzoda, and the UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, Abdullah bin Tawq Al Marri. The parties discussed the development of air traffic, including possible new flights on the Dushanbe-Sharjah and Dushanbe-Abu Dhabi routes. Currently, direct flights between Dushanbe and Dubai are operated by Somon Air and Flydubai.
An agreement on cooperation in the field of air traffic was signed within the framework of the Tajikistan-UAE Economic and Investment Forum. The document creates conditions for the expansion of international transportation, cargo transportation and attracting tourists and investors from the Gulf countries. The agreement also allows national airlines to fly to other countries via the UAE, strengthening transport links and strategic partnership between the states.
