In the first half of 2025, Tajikistan exported over 90 thousand tons of agricultural products worth a total of 33.8 million US dollars to 26 countries. This was reported by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Nurali Asozoda during a press conference in Dushanbe.
According to the data provided, the export volume increased by 13,156 tons compared to the same period last year, and export revenue increased by $5 million.
“Among the exported goods, the main share was made up of vegetables – 25,200 tons, fruits – 15,069 tons, dried fruits – 46,104 tons, nuts – 1,528 tons, and chicory roots – 2,107 tons,” Asozoda specified.
In addition, an increase in beekeeping product exports was noted. Over six months, 4 tons of honey and other beekeeping products were sent to foreign markets, which is 2 tons more than the figures for the same period in 2024.
Within the country, there is a steady growth in agricultural production. Thus, in January–June 2025, all forms of farming produced: 679,065 tons of grain, 267,929 tons of potatoes, 1,217,009 tons of vegetables, 590,881 tons of melons, 297,731 tons of fruit, 3,738 tons of grapes, 496,962 tons of animal feed.
Significant growth compared to the first half of 2024 was recorded in the following areas: production of melons increased by 177,916 tons, fruits by 72,905 tons, feed by 43,903 tons, grapes by 1,034 tons, potatoes by 819 tons.
The Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan attributes the positive indicators to favorable climatic conditions, expansion of sown areas and active government support for the agricultural sector.
