The Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Kokhir Rasulzoda, arrived on an official visit to the capital of the Altai Republic, the city of Gorno-Altaisk. This was reported by the public council at the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation.
At the Gorno-Altaisk airport, the head of the government of Tajikistan and his accompanying delegation were warmly greeted by representatives of the regional administration. According to Russian and Altai traditions, the distinguished guests were greeted with bread and salt – a symbol of hospitality and respect.
The Prime Minister of Tajikistan was personally welcomed by the head of the Altai Republic, Oleg Khorokhordin, who expressed satisfaction with the visit of the Tajik delegation, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral and interregional ties.
As part of the visit, the delegation of Tajikistan is taking part in an international forum dedicated to environmental issues, climate change and the development of a green economy.
Representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are also participating in the forum. The event is expected to be attended by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
The conference will become a platform for discussing current challenges on the environmental agenda, coordinating efforts in the area of sustainable development and developing joint projects aimed at protecting the environment and increasing the environmental responsibility of participating states.
