In the first half of 2025, twenty-four accidents and one industrial accident were registered at enterprises under the control of the State Supervision Service for Safety in Industry and Mining Supervision under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. As a result of these incidents, eighteen people died and twenty-two people received injuries of varying severity. This was reported at a press conference of the department held on Monday in Dushanbe.
As noted, the main causes of accidents were the irresponsibility of engineering and technical workers at enterprises on site, the inattention of victims when working with dangerous technical means and equipment, failure to comply with industrial safety regulations when handling hazardous production facilities, violation of the technological process of field development, as well as a shortage of qualified specialists.
As a result of the investigations, six legal entities, twenty-two officials and four individuals were brought to administrative responsibility. The total amount of fines imposed on responsible persons due to accidents and incidents amounted to one hundred seventy-three thousand seven hundred (173700.0) somoni.
In addition, as reported at the press conference, enterprises, trade unions and individuals provided one-time material and monetary assistance to thirty-eight victims, including relatives of eighteen deceased workers. The total amount of assistance provided was four million three hundred two thousand five hundred and ten (4,302,510.0) somoni.
During the presentation, the Service representatives also reported that during the reporting period, three thousand seven hundred eighty-six (3786) enterprises and sixteen thousand six hundred eighty-four (16684) facilities were registered in its structure. Eight state inspections and three comprehensive regional inspections conducted six unscheduled inspections.
As a result of technical inspections, the Service's specialists identified ninety-four (94) violations of regulatory legal requirements. In order to eliminate the identified violations, six acts-orders were issued to the enterprises.
Based on the results of supervisory activities for the first half of 2025, one hundred and three (103) legal entities, officials and individuals were brought to administrative responsibility. The total amount of fines imposed was five hundred forty-two thousand nine hundred and ten (542910.0) somoni.
In addition, in the context of the execution of the assigned powers, the Service, in accordance with the established procedure, issued seventy-one (71) licenses for certain types of activities related to the operation of hazardous industrial facilities.
At the press conference it was emphasized that the State Service for Supervision of Industrial Safety and Mining Supervision intends to continue to take all necessary measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, strengthen control over the technical condition of industrial facilities, and prevent accidents and industrial accidents at the enterprises under its control.
