An economic, investment and tourism forum of the Republic of Tajikistan and the United Arab Emirates was held in Dushanbe, during which issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in energy, digital economy, tourism and other priority areas were discussed. This was reported by NIAT Khovar.
The forum was attended by representatives of government agencies, business circles and more than 100 companies from various sectors of the two countries, in particular, energy, construction, logistics, transport, tourism, finance and banking.
According to the organizers, in 2024, trade turnover between Tajikistan and the UAE reached 91.9 million US dollars, which is 61% higher than the same figure in 2023. In the first six months of 2025, the volume of bilateral trade amounted to 57.6 million US dollars, an increase of 2.3 times compared to the same period last year.
To date, 36 enterprises with the participation of Emirati capital have been registered in Tajikistan, including projects of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development. The forum participants noted the significant potential in the field of investment cooperation and expressed their readiness to intensify interaction in such areas as industry, green energy, agriculture, logistics, digitalization and tourism.
The forum included bilateral business meetings in the B2B format between Tajik and Emirati entrepreneurs. According to the organizers, these negotiations will give additional impetus to the development of trade and economic ties and the establishment of new partnerships.
