The opening ceremony of the International Competition "Young Traffic Inspectors" of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held in Khujand. The event is being held as part of the III Interstate Rally and will last until July 20. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
The competition was organized with the aim of legal education of teenagers and teaching them traffic rules. Teams from seven CIS countries took part in the opening ceremony, which took place in the Abuabdullo Rudaki Palace of Culture: Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Azerbaijan and Belarus.
The event was also attended by young road safety advocates, representatives of educational and public organizations involved in youth education, as well as teenagers from different cities and regions of the country.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, Major General of Police Akbar Nasimzoda delivered a welcoming speech, noting the importance of holding an international competition. He emphasized that the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is aimed at legal education of young road users, increasing their knowledge of road safety rules and strengthening friendly ties between children from different countries. Nasimzoda also assured that the government of Tajikistan is taking all necessary measures to ensure road safety, especially for children and adolescents.
During the event, representatives of teams from participating countries thanked the organizers for creating favorable conditions for holding the competition, which contributes to the development of morality and discipline among young people.
Teams of young traffic inspectors demonstrated drill training and special elements of military discipline, confirming their readiness to participate in the competition.
The competition organizers have prepared a cultural program, including performances with elements of the national culture of the CIS countries.
As part of the competition, the children compete in various nominations, such as "Traffic Situation Review", "Experts in Traffic Rules", "Safe Wheel", "Youth Regulator", "My Team", "Propaganda Groups", "Road Signs" and "Young Safety Promoter".
The international competition "Young traffic inspectors" is held within the framework of the III Interstate meeting of traffic inspectors of the CIS countries from July 15 to 20, 2025 in the city of Guliston, Sughd region. The purpose of the event is to intensify preventive work, prevent accidents among minors, and expand the knowledge of adolescents in the field of road safety.
