Officers of the Department of Internal Affairs No. 1 in the Shokhmansur district detained four minors suspected of committing a series of thefts in the capital. This was reported by the press service of the Dushanbe Department of Internal Affairs.
Those detained were Shevchenko R., Ismoilov U., Nosirzoda S. and Pospelov D., who, according to the investigation, acted in collusion and committed thefts from public catering establishments and retail outlets.
According to law enforcement agencies, the perpetrators secretly entered canteens, cafes and shops, from where they stole cash and valuables. One of the most recent recorded incidents occurred on July 13 of this year, when 21,200 somoni were stolen from the Shafran restaurant located on Nazarshoev Street.
All suspects are currently under arrest. A criminal case has been opened into the incident and an investigation is underway.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded that the fight against juvenile crime remains a priority for the internal affairs agencies, and emphasized the importance of preventive work with minors.
