The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin held a meeting with the Member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
The talks took place in Tianjin and were devoted to the development of Tajik-Chinese strategic partnership relations. The parties discussed in detail the implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Tajikistan in 2024, as well as during the meeting of the leaders of the two states, which took place in June 2025 in Astana.
Particular attention was paid to the implementation of bilateral projects and initiatives aimed at expanding political dialogue, economic interaction, as well as humanitarian and cultural cooperation.
The heads of the foreign policy departments exchanged views on issues of the international and regional agenda, emphasizing the importance of active interaction within the framework of multilateral structures, primarily the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. In this context, preparations for the upcoming SCO summit, which will be held in September this year in Tianjin, were discussed.
The parties confirmed their commitment to further strengthening friendship, good-neighborliness and comprehensive strategic partnership between Tajikistan and China.
