The Chess Federation of Tajikistan awarded a cash prize of 7,000 somoni to young athlete Bogdan Voskolovich for winning the Issyk-Kul Open 2025 international tournament, which was held in the Kyrgyz Republic.
As reported by the Federation's press service, the decision to reward was made with the aim of supporting and motivating the chess player, who worthily represented Tajikistan in the international arena.
“The Federation consistently supports young and talented chess players, stimulates their development and will continue to create conditions for new victories,” the official statement says.
The organization also noted that this step is part of the general state policy on the development of intellectual sports in the country and the training of new generations of athletes capable of competing at the global level.
Bogdan Voskolovich became one of the brightest representatives of the youth team of Tajikistan, confidently performing at the tournament and winning first place in his category.
