A meeting was held at the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan with the participation of the department's leadership and the head of the department of the European Commission's Directorate General for International Cooperation with the Middle East and Central Asia, Charlotte Adrian. This was reported by the press service of the ministry.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union, confirming their mutual readiness to intensify joint activities and deepen partnership.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of attracting investments and implementing joint projects in a number of priority sectors of Tajik industry. The key areas included mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, textile and food industries, as well as the mining industry, including the extraction and processing of critical raw materials.
The meeting participants noted that cooperation in these areas opens up new opportunities for sustainable economic growth, technological exchange and the creation of new jobs in Tajikistan. In addition, the parties considered the possibilities of cooperation within the framework of the European Union's Global Gateway initiative, aimed at developing sustainable infrastructure and strengthening strategic ties in the Eurasian region.
At the end of the meeting, mutual interest was expressed in continuing the dialogue and specifying plans for launching new investment and technical programs in the near future.
