On July 14, 2025, under the chairmanship of the head of the city of Istaravshan Adham Mamurzoda, an extended meeting of the city's asset was held, at which the results of the socio-economic development of the city for the first half of the current year were summed up. This was reported by the press service of the city chairman.
The meeting was attended by the deputy head of the working group of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan – judge of the Constitutional Court Jamshed Jamshedzoda, deputy chairman of the Sughd region Zufar Ismoilzoda, deputy city chairmen, heads of law enforcement agencies, departments, institutions and enterprises, chairmen of rural jamoats, representatives of banks, the media and other responsible persons.
The first deputy chairman of the city, Abdusattor Kodiri, delivered the keynote speech. In his speech, he noted that the implementation of the Istaravshan Socio-Economic Development Program for 2021–2025 continues as planned. The program includes 180 priority projects worth 599.45 million somoni.
The speakers emphasized that positive results have been achieved in a number of areas, in particular:
– the industrial sector functions stably,
– construction and infrastructure work is underway,
– the education and healthcare sectors are being strengthened,
– measures are being implemented to ensure food security.
At the same time, problems requiring prompt solutions were voiced. These include issues of rational use of land resources, energy savings, acceleration of construction rates in anticipation of the 35th anniversary of state independence, as well as social support for needy categories of the population.
Judge of the Constitutional Court Jamshed Jamshedzoda and Deputy Chairman of the Sughd Region Zufar Ismoilzoda in their speeches gave recommendations on the efficient use of resources, improving management discipline, and strengthening control over the implementation of programs and projects.
The Chairman of the city of Istaravshan, Adham Mamurzoda, summed up the meeting, defining key tasks for the second half of 2025. Responsible structures were given specific instructions to improve work efficiency and eliminate existing shortcomings as soon as possible.
