The sports complex of the Republican Council "Dynamo" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted a WTF taekwondo tournament among juniors born in 2014-2017, timed to coincide with the celebration of National Unity Day. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
The competition, organized with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Taekwondo WTF Federation of Dushanbe, brought together more than 80 young athletes from various districts of the capital. The tournament was held in the discipline of "kyorugi" – individual fights, and included 18 weight categories. All fights were conducted using an electronic scoring system, which ensured the transparency and objectivity of the results.
Young athletes demonstrated excellent physical fitness, technique, strength, agility and will to win. The competitions were held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with great interest from spectators and fans. As the organizers note, the main goal of the tournament was not only to identify the strongest, but also to strengthen friendly ties between young athletes, as well as to popularize a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation.
Following the competition, 11 athletes became winners in their categories, 7 participants took second place, and 8 young taekwondo athletes received bronze medals. All prize winners and participants were awarded diplomas and memorable gifts.
The organizers emphasized that the competition was a real celebration of sports, uniting children, coaches and parents, and once again confirmed that taekwondo is not only a sport, but also a school of discipline, respect and personal growth.
